Trolls: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is the soundtrack album to the 2022 DreamWorks Blitheness film Trolls, released on September 23, 2022 by RCA Records. The soundtrack is produced primarily by singer Justin Timberlake, Max Martin, and Shellback. It features piece of work from Timberlake himself, along with Anna Kendrick, Ron Funches, Zooey Deschanel and Gwen Stefani, who all vocalism characters in the movie, equally well every bit Earth, Wind & Burn and Ariana Grande.[ane] The album was certified Platinum in Australia and Double Platinum in the United States. The song "Can't Finish the Feeling!" was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Grammy Award.

It kind of all happened at the same time. I've been friends with the Katzenbergs for years, and Jeffrey had e'er spoken to me about doing a DreamWorks Animation film. I believe his line was, "We can't let Elton accept all the fun," and I've always said, "If the correct matter comes up, allow's do it." … The directors brought me to the DreamWorks campus and pitched me the movie and the grapheme. And when I came out of the room Jeffrey was there, and he said, "And there's this other thing you could practice…"[4]

Past the time Timberlake joined the project, in that location was still some original music needed to be written for the film. Timberlake planned to cover the disco genre among the variety of popular songs present in the moving-picture show.[4] For the soundtrack album, Earth, Wind & Burn down re-recorded "September" with Timberlake and Kendrick.[5]

The soundtrack peaked at number one on the ARIA Charts,[6] three on the US Billboard 200 anthology nautical chart, four on the New Zealand Albums Nautical chart,[seven] and four on the UK Albums Chart.[viii] Information technology received Platinum certifications past the Recording Industry Association of America[9] and the Australian Recording Industry Association,[10] and a Gold certification by the British Phonographic Manufacture.[11] In the United states of america, information technology has sold 573,000 copies by April 2017,[12] and was the twelvemonth's tenth highest selling anthology in the country with 522,000 sold throughout 2017.[13]

"Tin can't Stop the Feeling!" won the Grammy Honor for All-time Song Written for Visual Media,[21] and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Vocal.[22] Timberlake received the Hollywood Vocal Laurels for "Can't Stop the Feeling!" at the 2022 Hollywood Film Awards.[23] It was also nominated for the Gilt Globe Accolade for Best Original Song,[24] Critics' Option Award for All-time Song,[25] and Satellite Award for Best Original Song.[26]
